Bullitt

(Southern Boogie Doesn't Any Get Better Than This)

Swansea based 5 piece, formed on a shared love of Fillmore era music (Southern Blues Boogie). With diverse and eclectic influences, Bullitt have played to packed venues throughout South Wales. With a set list that combines blues classics such as ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’ and ‘Stormy Monday’ with the more power blues sounds of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bullitt deliver performances full of colour and energy. One of the most promising young bands on the blues circuit – Southern Blues Boogie doesn’t get any better this – close your eyes and the music will take you back to the early seventies whiskey drenched blues sounds of Johnny and Donny Van Zant, 38 Special, Blackfoot and Lynyrd Skynyrd and hot steamy nights in Texas juke joints!

Ross 'Bullitt' James (Vocals/Guitar):

A professional vocalist/guitarist for over fifteen years, Ross has branched out from Celtic folk and roots into southern states blues and rock. Ross displays genuine versatility in blasting rock numbers while being equally at home singing smooth soul and blues.

Foxx Kamio (Drums):

With over 20 years playing experience and 10 years as a professional, Foxx has touched upon practically every form of twentieth century music. His technical ability and love of groove is surpassed only by his on stage presence. A unique talent.

Aled Warwick (Bass/Vocals)

Renowned equally for his ability to pump out smooth bass lines and soulful singing, Aled is both a gifted musician and songwriter comfortable with playing in any style. An essential part of the Bullitt sound.

Duncan Mcphee (Vocals/Guitar):

Talented guitarist and gifted singer who cites Hendrix, SRV and Clapton as his primary influences, Duncan displays a level of technicality and maturity which belies his age.

Julian James (Keyboard/Organ)

With over half a century of playing experience, Julian’s playing contributes to the unique ‘fullness’ of the bands sound. His expressive playing, musical knowledge and feel have drawn comparisons with the great Garth Hudson of The Band.
