It has been pretty hectic at the office of Slim's Blues, with lots of burning of the midnight oil and plenty of Irish whiskey being devoured.



I have been recenty been attending or playing at quite a few festivals over the last few weeks, there are plenty of new galleries and reviews of these events - so log on and surf!

The Hideaway Blues Band

Slim's Blues has helped put together a blues festival and venue band, they are called Hideaway.



Their first gig was Sunday 27th July at The Caerphilly Big Cheese main stage, about 3000 people sat and listened to the guys and were raving about them.



The Big Cheese event management thought they were by far the best band all weekend, I watched the gig and and Hideaway rocked!



Hideaway support Slim's Blues Jams, and hopefully you will see more of them at festivals and blues clubs soon.

Music Jam at The St Ives Neath

Our first 2 months at The St Ives has been eventful to say the least, it has been packed out for 6 weeks but the last 2 weeks have been quieter.

I'm asking the musicians of Neath: please support this excellent night!

GTFM Blues show

We have been very lucky lately with the help and support of Blues Show Bob Williams, he has supplied many of the reviews and fantastic pictures of artists at the GTFM Blues Show live sessions.

Watch for Bob Williams review of Abertillery blues Festival 2008 feat Robert Cray, it will be a very good read - Bob is an accomplished writer and I know will be a brilliant article.
