Portugal's Finest Electric
Blues Band
Red, Green & Blues
are a power trio that sometimes becomes a quartet with Luis
Ruvina’s Hammond B3...
Formed in Oporto
(Portugal) back in 2008, by Miguel Pardal (Drums), Zé Carlos
(Guitar&vocals) and Miguel Marques (Bass&vocals). These, along
with Luis Ruvina, are very experienced musicians that decided to make a
turn and «go back» to the Blues…
Drinking
influences from the great masters in «modern» Blues like Muddy
Waters, Albert Collins, Freddy King, Steve Ray Vaughn and Robben Ford,
just to name a few…
Red, Green
& Blues has a clear objective, and the
homework has been done in that direction, that are the live
performances, with a kind of risky but very enjoyable improvisation
doses. The repertoire is based on the mentioned masters with songs
dressed up with new clothing and versions, including some instrumental
pieces, always turned to the public and inter-acting with them.
On their
curriculum are important Blues Portuguese Blues Festivals like Simply
Blues in Viana do castelo, Santa Maria Blues in Azores, Bluesoul Ola in
Minho as well as several Blues and Jazz Clubs like B Flat,
Tribeca or Hot 5…
In these
festivals they had the opportunity of «jamming» with other international
musicians like Joel Xavier (Por), Dede Priest
(USA), Sugar Blue (USA) Kyla Brox & Victor Brox
Blues Train (UK) Chris Jagger (UK) among
